Moon, 10/20/13
Dear Levi,
Did you see
the moon? The huge, sleepy yellow moon drooping low over the Oklahoma River,
hanging like a glowing specter over the sparkling city scape of downtown. I
couldn't believe how huge it was as I drove over the bridge by the Dell
Factory; I almost pulled over to gaze in awestruck fascination.
The moon
reminded me of previous harvest moons in past. Of flat, beautiful Indiana with
a hot white moon bathing the campus in silver light… of the frowning red moon
that sunk over the arctic of Helsinki, Findland… of the criss, whispery moon
drifting silently above the forests and orchards over the rolling hills of
Visokii, Kharkov region, Ukraine.
It was a
beautiful panorama. Did you see it?
I hope that
wherever you are tonight, you are safe, and warm, and happy, and loved. I hold
you in my heart, little Levi, and think on my sweet prince, and pray that even
though I may never speak with you again, God shines his blessings on you. I
love you, Levi Pierce Fowler.
Your star,
Rigel.
